Employee Relations Specialist

We are in search of a hands-on, self-motivated Employee Relations Specialist to join the team and lead all Employee Relations focused developments and actions.  The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for operating at both a strategic and operational level.


  • Creating and implementing HR policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations
  • Maintaining and potentially updating any current policies and procedures in relation to employee relations
  • Working with the management team to ensure policies and procedures are followed in line with the Employee Handbook
  • Updating employee files and ensuring they maintained in accordance with the law
  • Handling employee disciplinary grievance process
  • Onboarding new employees
  • Conducting stay and exit interviews
  • Conducting management and professional development training
  • Coaching and providing appropriate support and guidance to management team regarding employee issue
  • Reporting on and analyzing trends within stay and exit interviews
  • Presenting employee trends and recommendations to the TCC executive team


  • 3+ years of Human Resources experience
  • BA/BS in Human Resources OR equivalent work experience in the HR field
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) or track is preferred
  • Proven understanding of employment law and best practices
  • Experience with enterprise HR systems (HRIS) required
    • ADP Workforce Now (nice to have)
  • Ability and drive to work autonomously and add value to the organization through HR
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work discreetly with confidential information
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and competing priorities
